CEILING FAN SLOW SPEED PROBLEM :- 

Main problem in ceiling fan is slow speed. now we can help you to solve this problem because we are also facing this problem for few months. After that I determined some cases for this problem and I checked by doing all thinks and problem solved. My problem is solved and I think if you have this problem than it may help to you. I think that everybody saw ceiling fan I am talking about below picture ceiling fan which is usually 230 volts AC ceiling fan.

There is some main problems in the ceiling fan so these are running in slow speed.

VOLTAGE :-  First of all we will check input voltage which should be about 220 - 240 volts. For checking the AC voltage we use Digital multimeter, which is normally available in in the market in price of about 150 rs. - 200 rs. Digital multimeter picture is given below -

CONDENSER ( CAPACITOR ) :- After checking voltage if voltage coming between 220 - 240 volts then voltage is correct, there is no problem in voltage. Now we will check the capacitor which is also called condenser. For checking the condenser we need 220 volts AC supply. Now give 220 volts supply to condenser's both wires for 2- 3 seconds only and don't touch by hand or any other part of body because this is dangerous there may be current due to charging. now touch both of wires each other, if this spark very good condition then capacitor is ok otherwise it may be weak or bad condition. Sometimes Capacitors may be weak. In that condition you should change the capacitor exactly same value.

There is different values of capacitor for different voltage, that we can use for accuracy-

                  VOLTAGE                                            CAPACITOR VALUE

                  

                   220 - 250   Volts                                             2.25 uf.

                   180 - 210   Volts                                             3.15 uf.

                   120 - 150   Volts                                             4.00 uf.

BEARINGS :-  After check all above things now we will check both bearings of ceiling fan, if these bearings are tight or non oiled than it will do problem in running fan. fan will be take heavy load to run and during bearings after some times fan may be burnt. So if bearings is in bad condition, please change both bearings of ceiling fan. In maximum cases bearings are bad.

WINDING DATA :-  If problem is not solved than this is the last condition. In many cases mechanic change the winding data like wire Gage, turns into stator etc. And after some time stator wire may be burnt from inside so it may weak. In that condition we need to change the stator or stator winding. Your problem will be finally solved.
